I am so excited to share with you today an amazing guest post by my dear friend, Pam Bailey! She is an amazing youth pastor and mom, and her wisdom and knowledge is such a blessing and an inspiration to me.
Today, I had the great pleasure of officiating my first wedding as an ordained minister. It was exhilarating! It is something I have dreamed about for years. In fact, I had just the right sermon picked out for whenever that moment would arrive. Nevertheless, God is always one step ahead of me. When the moment came, that sermon was not used. In fact, in all of my preparations, and studying, and contemplating, and writing…I was nowhere near the scripture I had once dreamed to use in my first marriage ceremony.
For me, that happens often. Hi, I am Pam. Guest blogger for my dear friend, Jen Stem. Isn’t she lovely? I love her! I pray that you have been blessed by her vision and passion created in this blog. (Sorry for the mini rabbit trail commercial…back to programming). First and foremost, I am a wife. I am blessed to say, that I married my soul mate and best friend. Furthermore, I have the amazing privilege of being a stay-at-home mommy to three beautiful boys. I also get the opportunity to serve as Youth Pastor and Kids Church Director at our church. We are a busy family. I try to maintain order. I try really hard. Sometimes I succeed, a lot of times I fail. This is difficult for me. God created me with a beautiful personality trait that some refer to as “Type A.” The lack of order sends me into a downward spiral of all sorts of not great reactions and responses. Ha!
